Welcome to ICIC

Who We Are

The International Center for Indigo Culture (ICIC) is a nonprofit organization with a mission to inspire and create a new farm-to-fabric economy and culture based around the indigo plant and the dye it produces.

We provide education in the history, science, and art of indigo to people of all ages. We represent a growing network of farmers, natural dyers, and textile artists with a passion for creating a new culture of indigo.

What We Do

We are working to cultivate a vital community of people who appreciate and contribute to creating a new indigo culture by:

- Cohesively capturing, sharing, and stewarding the history, science, and art of indigo.

- Providing education in the history, science, and art of indigo to people of all ages.

- Conducting research into the sustainable growing, processing, and industrial aspects of indigo dying.
