Just before the stroke of midnight, 2025, our team was busy putting the final touches together for our SARE Grant Publication: INDIGOFERA SUFFRUTICOSA: A LOWCOUNTRY-BASED CULTIVATION AND PROCESSING GUIDE
Please use the link above to view the entire publication. We have ordered a limited supply of print publications and will also make this publication available to individuals upon request as a PDF. Please email us for a link to the PDF.
We want to thank the entire team who contributed to this publication, as well as all the grant partners and participants who attended events, asked questions, shared their wisdom, and made this grant a success.
We would especially like to thank our publication designer and author, LaChaun Moore, a member of our board. Please take the time to read her thoughtful and honest acknowledgement, which provides a personal, cultural and historical framework to better understand how this project was undertaken and the impact it has had on those of us who are involved in ICIC and the Gullah Geechee community members, who largely came out to support and participate with this grant.
As we reflect on the impact, success and our strategic plan going forward, we have no doubt that this work will ripple outward and onward.
In 2026, ICIC celebrates our ten-year anniversary. We would also like to thank our founder, Donna Hardy for her vision and dedication to sharing her passion and knowledge of indigo with so many. She made the choice early this year to step down from the board, but she will always be a part of this organization and we look forward to her continuing guidance as our founding advisor.
